Author Albert Dulin presents Billie Heartwing

On Sat. July 20th at 2 o’clock p.m., Highland Books will welcome Charlotte author Albert Dulin to speak on his new book “Billie Heartwing”, the compelling story of a woman finding her way flying as a WASP during WWII and the washed-up journalist who charts Billie’s tale as she grows old. Dulin’s own compelling family history served as inspiration; from one aunt’s miraculous tale of a B-17/ railroad rescue to photos of another aunt dressed in khakis about to embark on a solo flight in the 1940’s. Dulin’s characters come to life with the spirit of these women from his past.

Dulin has had a long history in the arts as a musician, artist, photographer, and playwright. The culmination of these resulted in a career in television and video production which led Dulin to begin writing. “Billie Heartwing” is his first novel. Copies of his novel will be available for purchase at the event and can be signed after the discussion. This event is sure to reach exciting heights and we hope to see you there.
